Students are responsible for all materials borrowed on their IDs.
LRC materials must be returned on or by the specified due date. Items not returned on or by the due date will be considered lost. Students with a lost book on their record will be unable to borrow library materials until the book is returned, or the lost book fee is paid. Students with delinquent materials or fines will have their borrowing privileges suspended.
General Collection Books: Students may borrow 5 books at a time for a period of 7 days. Books can be renewed up to 12 times, unless the item has a request.
Course Reserve Collection: Students may borrow course reserve materials outside of the LRC for 3 days. Failure to return a course reserve in a timely manner may result in a suspension of course reserve borrowing privileges.
Students are not allowed to borrow Reference books or Audio-Visual materials (DVDs, VHS, and CD-ROMS), but they may be used in the LRC.
Reservations: Students can request that a reservation be placed on a General Collection book that is currently checked out. In the case that multiple students wish to the reserve a book, their names will be added to the list in the order in which their request was received. When the book is returned, the LRC staff will contact the student with the reservation and the book will be held for 3 days. Students who fail to pick up the book within the 3 days will have their reservation canceled and the book will be placed back on the shelf or transferred to the next student on the reservation list. The student with a canceled reserve may ask for the book to be reserved again, but their name will be placed on the bottom of the reservation list.

Library patrons will not be charged daily overdue fines. Instead, materials not returned on or by the specified due date or returned damaged will be considered lost and will be subject to a replacement fee and an overdue fee. The overdue fee is a flat rate of $5.00, with no grace period. The lost book fee is $80.00 or the replacement cost, whichever is greater, per lost item (books only). If the original item is returned to the LRC in good condition, the lost book fee may be waived, but the $5.00 overdue fee will still be charged.
In lieu of lost book charges, the
Failure to return the book, or pay the lost book fee, will result in suspension of ability to obtain diploma and transcripts.
Overdue Notices & Lost and Billed notification: Students are expected to keep track of the due date of borrowed materials, since a due date reminder receipt is given when books are checked out. Two weeks before the end of each semester the LRC staff will attempt to notify patrons regarding overdue library materials.
Suspension of Borrowing Privileges: Students are subject to suspension of library borrowing privileges. Borrowing Privileges may be suspended for non-payment of lost book fees or willful destruction of library materials.
