Some Policies

  • Food and drink are permitted, but drinks must be sealed
    • No candy, food, or drinks are allowed at the computers or when using LRC resources.
  • Take telephone calls out in the hallway
  • Printing is automatically double-sided to conserve paper. Do not change the settings to single sides, instead make copies.
  • PPT presentations must be printed w/ at least 2 slides per page, 4 preferred. If you need just the notes then please ask an LRC staff member, we can help save paper.
  • Use a USB drive to save any work on the computers, as files are periodically deleted. You may also email files to yourself or save them to the cloud.
  • Quiet, productive talking is allowed. If an LRC staff member asks you to quiet down, please do so. Please complain if the noise levels are too loud.
  • The LRC is for Fortis College students, staff, faculty, and alumni only.
  • Children under 9 are not allowed in the LRC. This is to keep disruptions to a minimum and because the LRC is not child friendly. Exceptions may be made under special conditions if in conjunction with a request from your program director or administration.
