The Learning Resource Center (LRC) at Saint Paul’s School of Nursing, Staten Island, serves the research and reference needs of our nursing, medical assisting and dental assisting students; faculty members, and staff within the school. Our staff is available to advise and assist with research and citation questions, provide one-to-one and group instruction on how to create and conduct online searches; using our LibGuides page, utilizing our LibraryThing catalog; how to use the Microsoft suite of products, essay construction and citation, among other services.
Our collection is comprised of approximately 2,000 items including circulating and reference books, study guides, care plans, multimedia and a small collection of academic journals; in addition to the millions of online resources available through our database network, LIRN.
Judy A. Lee, MBA, MLS - LRC Director
Judy A. Lee has been the Library Director at the Staten Island, New York campus of Saint Paul’s School of Nursing since September 2013. Judy has created and/or managed six corporate libraries in arts management, healthcare advertising, biotechnology, and transportation. Ms. Lee's areas of expertise include reference and research, collection development, market research, communications, marketing and promotion; and technical services.
Throughout her career, Judy has has been involved in all facets of editing, writing, and publishing. Currently, she is Chief Editor of Saint Paul’s newsletter, ‘Signature'. In 2012, Judy co-authored and presented a report for the First Pilot Researchers Program at METRO entitled “Friends of 217: Research for a Local Educational Support Organization Born Into a Web 3.0 World.”
Judy has a BA in Art History from SUNY at New Paltz, New York, an ALA-accredited MS in Library Science from Simmons College in Boston, MA, an MBA in Marketing from Pace University, New York, NY; and an ABA-accredited Paralegal degree from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. Ms. Lee is applying for membership at the Academy of Health Professionals from the Medical Library Association.
