Jewish Hospital and Medical Center of Brooklyn

The Nurses Alumnae of the Jewish Hospital and Medical Center of Brooklyn is accepting applications for 4, $1,000 scholarship grants for currently enrolled (full time) nursing students. Students must provide a brief statement, academic transcript and two letters of reference.

NY State Women Inc

The NY State Women Inc. will confer a scholarship to a female student enrolled at St. Paul’s SON who is a Staten Island resident, in good academic standing, has a GPA of (minimum)3.0, demonstrates financial need, presents two letters of recommendation from faculty and writes a compelling essay(250-500 words) describing why they chose nursing and their plans for the future. (please see attached application and further description of requirements). If you believe you are a candidate for this scholarship please submit a completed application by March 1,2017 to Ms. Linda DeSilvio. Scholarship recipients must attend the organization’s annual luncheon.

Kristen Senatore Memorial Scholarship

Kristen Senatore was an alumnus of the St Paul’s School of Nursing who embodied the heart and soul of a professional nurse. This scholarship honoring Kristen is offered to a student who embodies Kristen Senatore’s passion for the nursing profession. Applicants must be currently enrolled in the nursing program at St. Paul’s SON –SI, who have completed successfully (at a minimum) one clinical nursing course, who demonstrate a desire and passion for the nursing profession and who is identified by faculty as a candidate for this scholarship. Applicants must submit: • A completed Scholarship application • Two (2) letters of reference from faculty (one must be from a clinical instructor) • A typed double spaced essay (250-500 words) describing why you chose the nursing profession as a career path and discussing your goals and how the receipt of this scholarship award will help you to aspire to achieve them. • Your current transcript • Submit completed application to Mrs. Linda De Silvio by April 1, 2017
