Your instructors, the school administration, and other departments at Fortis College will use your school email address to contact you. Also, in many of your classes, you may be required to design and present essays, spreadsheets, or slide presentations of your work to your instructor. Some of the Microsoft Office 365 suite includes applications you will like use. Some of the platforms that you will use are all a part of your Microsoft Office 365 suite.
Microsoft Outlook is your school email. The naming convention is {FirstName}{LastName}@my.fortis.edu.
Microsoft Word is widely used for drafting correspondence, drafting academic essays, and for designing posters and leaflets.
Microsoft Excel is the universal standard in spreadsheets and other forms of record keeping, inventory, and statistical analysis.
Microsoft PowerPoint is used for designing thought-provoking presentations in any and all subjects, and can be designed as simple slide presentations, or elaborate, multi-media spectacles.
