GENERAL INFORMATION REGARDING THE LIBRARY & RESOURCE CENTER PROGRAM
Each Library &Resource Center (LRC) is managed by a Librarian with an Master of Library Science or a Master of Library and Information Science earned from an ALA-accredited institution in accordance with the guidelines of accrediting bodies that provide accreditation to degree granting programs and the Academic College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Statement on the Certification & Licensing of Academic Librarians. This Librarian is titled Library Manager. The Librarian is an integral part of the life of the school – participating in faculty meetings, outreach, education, management, serving on the Simulation Committee, assisting students during remediation, and acting as a CampusVue portal contact due to centrality of the LRC activities. The Library Manager reports to the Director of Education, and on a dotted line basis, to the National LRC Director.
All Library & Resource Centers are members of the Consortium of Education Affiliates Libraries. Membership in the consortium allows each member LRC access to corporate discounts, cooperative collection development leverage when negotiating contracts, and other benefits.
