Collection Development Policies



It is the responsibility of the Library Manager to oversee collection development, in accordance with collection development policies, and compliance with the policies of accrediting bodies. The Library Manager will consult with faculty, deans, students, department heads, the National LRC Director, colleagues, and published materials selection guides in order to select relevant, current materials to meet the educational needs of students. Responsibility for the selection and acquisition of print materials (i.e. books) resides with the Library Manager. Purchase of databases, web-based resources, EBSCO serial subscriptions, and (most) software will be conducted by the National LRC Director. This ensures uniform access to resources for all students attending degree granting programs at Education Affiliates schools.
