Pensacola: Canvas & Online Learning Resources

Canvas is an online classroom you will use for your courses. Creating a new account is simple. You will need to have your Fortis student email account set up through Office 365. Follow the steps below to get started!

Please read and follow the instructions carefully. Make sure you have access to your Fortis email before registering your Canvas account.

1. In your browser, go to fortis.instructure.com
2. Select Forgot Password
3. Enter your Fortis email address, then select Request Password **The email address is important for the sending the authentication email**
4. A confirmation box should appear at the top of your window. Follow the instructions.
5. Go to your Fortis email inbox and look for a confirmation email from Instructure Canvas with subject line Forgot Password: Canvas. Check your spam/junk folder if you do not see the confirmation in your inbox!
6. In the body of the email, select the link Click Here to set a new password.
7. In the new browser window, enter your new password, then select Update Password.
8. You will automatically be returned to the login page. Enter your Fortis email and new password, then select Log In to access your courses.
