DARW is held the first full week in March and was designated by the American Dental Assistants Association as a time to highlight the hard work, dedication, and professionalism of dental assistants who play a vital role in supporting dentists and ensuring the efficient function of dental practice. The week services as an opportunity to acknowledge their role in patient care, chairside assistance, and the overall success of dental teams. 

The theme for 2025 is Superheros Behind the Smiles, which highlights the essential role dental assistants play in ensuring exceptional patient care and enhancing the overall dental experience. As key members of the dental practice year-round, dental assistants strengthen the entire team while enhancing patient satisfaction.
